Del Beccaro: On The Iran Deal
Here are the bottom line facts:
1. The Islamic Dictators of Iran cannot be trusted.
2. If they get a nuclear bomb OR intercontinental ballistic missiles or sufficiently sophisticated quantum computer hacking ability, they will wreak havoc on the West.
3. You can give Iran and some its proxies money (directly or indirectly) and allow them to trade and then claim victory [Obama/Biden] and then the Iranian dictators will use the money to make war, support proxies like Hamas, hack and get a nuclear weapon – much sooner than later.
4. You can sanction them and slow their evil progress.
5. You can bomb them and really slow their evil progress.
6. You can permit the destruction or near destruction of their proxies.
7. You can nurture a coalition around them, such as the Abraham accords, which allowed Israel to give the UAE defensive counter measures, and which potentially could result to a major regional realignment.
8. If you want to topple their dictators and their dictators in waiting, you have to sanction them, bomb them, undertake an extended campaign to kill their dictators and their dictators in waiting, kill likely 60,000 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and put together some sort of coalition of occupying forces that ensures a transition.
9. The DC Democrats won’t do anything but the failure that was # 3.
10. As for the Leftist American Media, see #9.
11. Most Americans, 250 years after being born of a war, cannot abide by wars – even wars that only require them to endure higher prices and send bombs 6,000 miles away. Nor will they allow no. 8.
12. Trump did 4,5, 6, and 7 – the first President to confront them with the only thing that matters to them, superior power.
13. Will the Iran deal, whatever it is, be the end of the problems with Iran? Almost assuredly not. It does mean that Iran’s dictators and their dictators in waiting will never be safe again under Trump. It will slow them down far, far more than #3.
14. As for the alternative pushed by the DC Democrats of coddling them, that means trusting the future of the West to a regime that murdered over 60,000 in cold blood for simply walking in the streets in protest.
15. I am against 14. You should be too.
