Alec Baldwin and Gun Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy can be deadly. In a prime example, how odd is it that an “antigunner” like Alec Baldwin would seek to make millions using a gun. All while exposing his followers to a gun while making a violent movie celebrating gun violence; a common Hollywood formula. In the end, one person is dead and another in critical condition.

President Ronald Reagan said it best “Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.” As we see in this sad turn of events, it’s not guns that are dangerous, its those who misuse them who are dangerous; be it an angry kid in the inner city or an angry kid playing make believe on a movie set.

If Baldwin had educated himself on firearms or if the range master had trained him: “Always Treat Firearms as if they’re loaded and only point them at something you want to destroy.” While it is rare these weapons misfire, we lost Bruce Lee’s son Brandon Lee is a similar fashion. So going forward I hope the entire movie industry will show more respect for Firearms and less disdain, it will save lives.
