The Racial Politics and Child Murder

What I find so damning for the left is this: the American people, like lady justice, were blind to certain elements about this trial. Just like in the movie “A Time to Kill,” we did close our eyes, when we first heard the jury was struggling to reach a unanimous verdict.

Most of us thought it was eleven for guilty and one hold out for innocent. Our first plot twist was when we learned it was actually eleven for innocent and one for guilty. Even then, because we still had our eyes closed and we were using our imaginations, once we learned the gender of the one hold out, our minds jumped to a visual of a rugged bearded white male fighting against all odds. A lone hero visual. People even began making drawings of a valiant white man defending the three slain white children.

Then the mistrial was declared. First came the defense lawyer outside the courthouse; what we witnessed coming from Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer, Mr. Kevin Reddington esq., stirred something inside of most of us. Something felt wrong. It felt unfair. It felt over the top. The savage berating of the lone juror was so harsh, many of us posted, “we hope the Juror can sue him.” Oddly, our own prejudices kept the blinders on.

Then some of the nine female jurists began to speak, and even their tone and certain words didn’t line up for us. Words like “arrogant’,’ and “he didn’t know the meaning of reasonable doubt.” By this time we knew something was wrong, however, what we learned next was the greatest plot twist of them all! It was as if Matthew McConaughey from the movie, “A Time to Kill,” was standing in front of us and we were the jury, and at the end of the summation he says to us: “Now imagine that lone Juror is black.” Then our eyes snap open!

We now know beyond a reasonable doubt what we are looking at!!!
